Isabella went to a week long dance camp this summer. She had so much fun that she'd wake up every morning asking to go to dance. It was for 2 hours every morning and then at the end of the week they had a recital. Isabella did wonderful on her 1st dance. She was supost to do 2 dances but didn't make it to the 2nd dance because she spotted her favorite cousin, Christian. Christian is now banned from any other recital Isabella has because once she knew he was there she didn't want to dance anymore. She just wanted to be with Christian. We even got her on video dragging herself across the floor to Christian while everyone laughed. Unfortunatly, the video below does not show that but we will happily share it with you some other time. Below is the one dance that she did do and a few pictures as well.

Stefani's dedication July 27th, 2008

Thank you to all who were able to make it to Stefani's dedication. It was a wonderful day and we were so happy to have been able to share it with you. Stefani was a perfect angel and slept through the dedication. Isabella on the other had was a perfect toot! She squirmed all over her daddy as he tried to read the scripture we picked out for Stefani. She even grabbed his mouth! But Steve kept his cool and as the whole church laughed at Isabella he just kept on reading. Be sure to click on the slide show to see pictures from the special day.

The scripture we chose for Stefani is from Colossians 1:9-12

"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthedned with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light."

Family Vacation to Estes Park, CO.

Well, were back from our vacation and it was quite the adventure! Isabella had been eagerly waiting for the trip to begin. The whole week before she would wake up every morning "We go to the Mountains today, Mommy?" She loved getting to take a plane, train, bus and automobile to get there. Once we were there she asked everyday "I want to go to the mountains!" And we'd tell her "we are in the mountains"! Then she'd reply, "No, I want to go deep into the mountains"!! So we tried our best to give her the full experience of being deep in the mountains. She was able to feed some chipmunks and see some elk from far away in the Rock Mountain National Park. We ate lots of good food, saw some beautiful scenery and enjoyed beautiful weather. Both girls did great even though 2 nights they passed out on us on our way to dinner and couldn't be woke up so we ended up going back and eating room service in our condo. We traded romantic dinners for active family ones but we wouldn't have traded it for anything. We even had a older couple stop by our table to tell us how much they enjoyed watching us balance the girls and try to eat at the same time. They said we were the cutest family they'd seen and hoped we would look back at this time and laugh and remember it was fun. Well, we will definitely laugh! Like I said it was an adventure. Little Stefani slept through the night for the first time when we got home late Thursday night. She has slept most of the day too. I think Steve and I both echo her need for rest from our travels. Isabella was happy to see her dogs and slip into her princess dress once again. While it was tiring dealing with both the girls we are glad to have shared it with them and can't wait till our next family vacation next year!

The Mackenzie Girls

I thought I'd keep you all updated with what is happening with the girls this way. I'll be posting pictures and news as things happen in their lives. Hope you enjoy.

Stefani is now 3 months old. My how time flies! She is smiling, blowing bubbles, chuckling softly and drooling like crazy! She is trying hard to roll over and she loves to stick out her tongue and crinkle up her nose as she smiles at you. And those legs of hers are always kicking! She really studies things over and is a very laid back baby. She definitely knows who her sister is and loves to watch her dance around. She went on her first plane trip in June to see her great grandmother and JuJu and Gramps too. She was a perfect angel. Slept most of the time on the plane and never cried once. The only time you will catch her crying is when she is hungry or tired. We are blessed!

Isabella is now 3 years old and officially potty trained! Her favorite underwear is the Thomas the train boy underwear because, "It has a pocket, mommy"!! She got to go on her first spa trip with mommy the Saturday before Father's Day. We had to look good for Daddy. She loved it and keeps asking to go again. Yes, she is all girl! She loves her new baby sister and is a big help. She'll even help give her a bottle. She does want to get in her face a lot which I would think would upset Stefani but it only makes her smile real big. They've already had a couple of tea parties together as Stefani sit in her bumbo chair and Isabella serves her tea. Isabella wants to be sure Stefani is included on everything we do. She is a great big sister!
